13-Year Old Dies After Floodwaters Pull Him Into Storm Drain

On Thursday, a 13-year old boy died after being swept away by floodwaters raging through Carroll County, Maryland.

The East Coast has been getting hit with heavy rain and flooding that has cancelled or delayed flighted and prompted emergency rescue of vehicles trapped in deep water on the highways from Philadelphia to New York.

While forecasters warn of the dangers of floodwaters, it's not always taken seriously and can become fatal.

13-Year Old Boy Dies

During the rain on Thursday, kids were playing outside between apartment buildings in Mount Airy, a small town about 30 miles west of Baltimore.
