Another Child Dead After Being Left in Hot Car During Heat Wave

A 5-year-old boy died Thursday after someone left him inside a car in Mansfield, Ohio. It happened just days after another kid died the same way in Georgia, showing how this heat wave is turning deadly for children.

Mansfield police Chief Jason Bammann talked to the local newspaper about what happened, and you could tell he was shaken up by the whole thing.

"We took a call of a small child," Bammann said. "Detectives are actively working on the case. What a horrible tragedy this is. I'm at a loss for words."

Thursday got up to the upper 80s in Mansfield, but inside that parked car it would have been way hotter.
