The beginning of the new year is going to start off with another round of storms for Californians. The Golden State is still recovering from the storms that roared through the region over the Christmas holiday, as forecasters warn that more precipitation is headed that way again.

A new storm system is bearing down on California, threatening to disrupt New Year's Eve and New Year's Day celebrations.

The state has been enjoying a brief respite from the train of storms following last week's record-breaking rainfall. While it has been dry and sunny for most of the state the last few days, some parts of Southern California have been dealing with windy conditions.
