Two significant rounds of rain and snow are going to wreak havoc across California this week. Read on for the details of this two-part storm train that is bearing down on portions of the West Coast.

First of Two Storms to Roar into California by Early Thursday

Heavy rain and the threat of flash flooding and debris flows will target California at the end of the week and into the weekend. While the Golden State is no stranger to major storm events in November, the impacts are typically confined to the northern part of California. What makes this system different is that it will take aim at Southern California, including the Los Angeles metro area.

The first part of the storm will move ashore late Wednesday and into Thursday, primarily impacting San Francisco at this time. The worst of the effects will push to the east and into Sacramento later in the day on Thursday. Both San Francisco and Sacramento are forecast to pick up 1 to 2 inches of rain.
