Approximately 40 beaches in New South Wales (NSW) have been closed after four shark attacks in a period of just 48 hours. All of the attacks were blamed on bull sharks. This species of sharks tends to swim in the cloudy waters that form near the mouths of rivers after times of heavy rain. The stocky bullshark is also known for its powerful jaws.
