Relief from the soggy weekend is on the way for much of the eastern U.S. A pattern of dry and cooler weather will move through the Northeast to start the week. While the drier conditions are good news for those with outdoor plans, the pattern will also raise the risk of wildfires and jumpstart the process of lawns losing their color. Read on for the details of this week's forecast.

Rain Ending Across the Interior Northeast

The Northeast was under the umbrella of widespread rainfall over the weekend, putting a wrench in outdoor activities. Unfortunately, the areas that did not pick up measurable rain the last few days will once again miss out on the much-needed moisture.
