While conditions have been largely calm across the central U.S. in recent days, that is all about to change starting during Easter Sunday weather.

A series of storms is on deck that will linger throughout much of next week. Here is a look at what to expect for the timing of the storms and your weekend weather forecast.

Storms to Get Their Start on Sunday in the Central U.S.

The end of March is certainly not going to go out like a lamb across some parts of the central U.S. A series of potentially damaging storms is forecast to erupt for Easter Sunday weather, bringing the risk of isolated tornadoes, hail, strong winds, and more.

The storm system will originate on the West Coast, impacting California and the interior West just ahead of Easter.

This line of storms will track to the east throughout the weekend weather forecast, reaching the central Plains states just in time for Easter Sunday festivities. You can expect the chance of severe weather to linger into the first few days of April, getting the new week off to a rocky start.
