Florida’s Space Coast is no longer just a nostalgic landmark for Apollo-era fans. It’s a full-fledged travel destination. Across Titusville, Cocoa Beach, and Cape Canaveral, visitors crowd hotel rooftops and shoreline bars to watch near-weekly rocket launches light up the horizon.

Florida’s Space Coast Is Booming

According to Peter Cranis, CEO of the Space Coast Office of Tourism, 41% of visitors now say they come specifically to see a launch. It’s become one of the region’s biggest draws, rivaling cruise departures from nearby Port Canaveral.
