There is good news for snowbirds on the way to Florida. The rainy season has officially come to an end, ushering in a drier and less humid weather pattern for the Sunshine State. Here is a closer look at the arrival of Florida's dry season and what it means for the popular tourist destination.

The hottest and most humid part of the season is now in the rearview mirror for Floridians. The end of the Atlantic hurricane season is also quickly approaching, meaning that residents and vacationers can breathe a little easier.

Florida's season typically runs from the middle of October through the middle of May. While there are still periods of rain during this time, it is a stark difference from the middle of the summer when daily rain showers and thunderstorms are the norm.
