Snow for the South? It is Possible
Will the South see snow this weekend? Some forecast models are suggesting that this part of the nation could see a chance of snow by the time the weekend comes to an end. While this is not likely to rival last year's rare January snow event across the Gulf Coast and northern Florida, enough wintry precipitation could fall to turn heads.
Both the GFS and Euro models are predicting that it is possible that at least some of the South gets in on the snow action that is forecast to impact much of the eastern U.S. in the days ahead. A storm system is currently expected to roar through the southeastern U.S. late Saturday and into Sunday. However, forecasters are also warning that this storm could not come to life at all. The bottom line is that this is a fluid forecast with a lot of changing parts that will drive how it develops in the end.
