Then add the post-holiday slump after December's over, and leaving the house feels impossible.
That's cabin fever. The irritability, boredom, and emotional discomfort from being stuck indoors too long. It’s not a clinical diagnosis, but a very real emotional experience of feeling stuck, disconnected, and trapped.
Seasonal affective disorder makes it worse. SAD hits people in places with distinct seasons. Limited sunlight lowers mood, disrupts sleep, and drains energy.
