At least three fatalities have been blamed on the massive nor'easter that roared up the East Coast to start the week. Here is a look back at the most notable impacts of this rare October nor'easter.

Deadly Storm Tears Up the East Coast

Three people were killed this week when a major storm churned up the Atlantic Seaboard beginning on Sunday and lingering into Tuesday. Two of the deaths happened when a plane crashed on Interstate 195 in Dartmouth, Massachusetts. One person on the ground was also injured.

The worst of the storm's impacts were along the immediate coastline from North Carolina and up into southern New England. High waves pounded beaches as storm surge spilled onto roadways. A large swath of the coast is reporting beach erosion at the hands of the surge of water that wiped away protective dunes and spilled into area homes and businesses.
