Nearly all of the eastern half of the U.S. has been hit by some degree of severe weather over the past week. A mid-Atlantic storm is next up with severe weather expected to roar through the area over the next few days.

Here is what you need to know about this approaching storm system if you live in this part of the country.

Mid-Atlantic Storm Threatens Rain and Storms Through Mid Week

The same storm system that generated strong winds and hail for a large portion of Ohio and Pennsylvania on Sunday is forecast to slowly inch to the south on Monday before stalling out over the mid-Atlantic. This weather maker was blamed for hail the size of golf balls and winds that hit speeds of 60 mph, speaking to the energy that is circulating in this system.

Although the bulk of the severe weather action on Monday and Tuesday will focus on the central U.S., some of the storms on the horizon will also ignite over the states out east through Wednesday.
