Yet another Alberta clipper is gearing up to dive down through parts of the Northeast by the weekend. Read on for a closer look at the timing and impact zone of the latest winter weather maker.

Brief Warmup Followed by More Winter Weather

A new clipper storm is going to spill down from Canada, dictating the weather pattern for the northeastern corner of the U.S. through the weekend. The clipper event will roar out of Canada late Friday, lingering into early Sunday. A fresh infusion of cold air coming with the clipper will then set the stage for more lake-effect snow into the early part of the week.

A southward plunge in the jet stream will keep the warm air anchored over the central and southeastern U.S., allowing cold air to push into the Upper Midwest, the Great Lakes, and the Northeast.
