A New York City snow storm that slammed into metro areas and beyond was the biggest in over two years. Over 1,200 flights were canceled on Tuesday alone as some parts of the Northeast picked up over a foot of snow.

Short-Lived but Potent Nor'Easter Snow Storm, Northeast

Millions of Americans in the Northeast are digging out after a powerful nor'easter swept through the region beginning late Monday. The storm dropped significant amounts of snowfall in a zone from West Virginia and up through Massachusetts.

How much snow has it snowed in New York?

New York City snow totals 3.2 inches at Central Park, equating to the highest amount of snow to fall in one single day since January of 2022.

Downtown Philadelphia snow only measured about 2 inches, however, over 6 inches was reported in the suburbs located to the north and the west of the City of Brotherly Love. Farther to the south, Washington, D.C. snowing totals were small, along with Baltimore who also dodged the worst impacts, only picking up a trace amount of snowfall.
