The much-anticipated Beaver Moon will shine in the night skies this week. Where will the weather cooperate as the supermoon reaches its peak fullness on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday? Read on for all of the details.

About the Upcoming Supermoon

The upcoming supermoon is expected to be the largest and brightest in years. The Beaver Moon gets its name from the critters that get to work building their protective dams for the winter season, guided by the light of the moon. Other nicknames for the November celestial event include the Hunter's Moon and the Frosty Moon.

This year's Beaver Moon is forecast to hit peak fullness at 8:19 am EST on Wednesday, November 5. The moon is the second in a trio of consecutive supermoons, coming on the heels of October's Harvest Moon.

A supermoon rises when the full moon happens at the same time that the moon is orbiting Earth at its closest point. The 2025 Beaver Moon is extra special, as it will be the closest full moon in relation to Earth since 2019. This proximity will make it appear bigger and brighter than any moon in over five years.

Where Mother Nature Will Lend a Helping Hand

The Beaver Moon will shine the brightest at about dusk, meaning that you will not even need to stay up late to check it out. Stargazers will find the moon in its full glory on the nights of Tuesday, November 4, Wednesday, November 5, and Thursday, November 6.

Like any celestial event, clear skies will go a long way in providing ideal viewing conditions. What does the weather have in store for this year's viewing?
