One Last Storm Taking Aim at the Northwest Before Relief Arrives
It has been a volatile stretch of weather in the Northwest and Northern California. Torrential rain and gusty conditions impacted a large swath of land stretching from British Columbia, Canada, through Washington, Oregon, and Northern California. Relief is on the way; however, the region must get through one more storm event at the end of the week first.
The latest storm system sent winds to gusts of 75 mph in Reno, Nevada, and Klamath Falls, Oregon. A top gust of 69 mph was notched at the Siskiyou County Airport in California. Rainfall totals over the two-day period ending midday Wednesday boasted totals of 2.73 inches in Florence, Oregon. It was only slightly less soggy to the south in Crescent City, California, with 2.43 inches recorded before the sun went down on Wednesday.
