6 months agoBoeing, once a titan of American aviation, has found itself involved in a series of controversies that have cast a long shadow over the safety record of its aircraft.
This has led to an obvious shift in not just passenger concern, but within the pilot community, with some aviators entering the cockpit with a heightened sense of alertness bordering on wariness.
Pilot Unease
Dennis Tajer, a Boeing 737 captain and spokesperson for the Allied Pilots Association (APA), which represents American Airlines pilots, recently spoke candidly about the impact of these events.
"It definitely gives me more pause when I get on the airplane," Tajer told CNBC. "But it's not a pause of concern about actually flying it," he clarified, "it's about making sure I'm watching everything like a hawk."
