A new Arctic front is on track to push through the Great Lakes and into New England on Friday and Saturday, bringing along another shot of frigid temperatures, windy conditions, and snow. Here is a more detailed look at the upcoming winter weather event.

Return of Miserable Winter Weather by the End of the Week

It has already been a harsh start to the year across the northeastern U.S. Frequent intrusions of Arctic air have set the stage for a snowy and icy winter. Even a surge of warmer air at the end of January could not keep the readings well below the historical average for the month as a whole.
