Spring weather is just around the corner for the Midwest and the Northeast. However, these regions will first need to take on two more quick rounds of winter storms this week. Here is a closer look at the timing and expected wintry weather in the coming days.

Winter Weather Marks First Part of Week in the Midwest and the Northeast

Back-to-back winter storms will deliver a fresh coating of snow and ice as the month of March gets started. While springlike temperatures are waiting in the wings, it could be a dicey start to the month for a large swath of the Midwest and the Northeast.

Forecasters are predicting that a weak winter storm will rush across the Plains and into the Ohio Valley and the mid-Atlantic throughout the day on Monday.
