Seattle and Portland Are in Line to See Two Storm Systems in Coming Days

Alexis Thornton

A pair of storms will bring in a host of precipitation impacts throughout the Pacific Northwest in the coming days, including the chance of wet snow in the major metropolitan areas of Seattle and Portland.

Here is what you need to know about this potentially messy forecast.

First Storm Forecast to Hit by End of Weekend

The first of the two storms to impact the Northeast will take aim this weekend as snow levels fall to near sea level at some times in parts of Washington state and down into northern Oregon.

Slippery road conditions will be an issue at some of the intermediate elevations and over the higher terrains of the mountains. The high country of the Cascade Mountains and the Olympics will see heavy snow with a rain and snow mix for the mountain passes in the region.
