Temperatures are going to approach levels typically seen during the middle of the summer throughout much of the Northeast. The uptick in the mercury will happen just days before the unofficial start of summer kicks off with the Memorial Day weekend holiday.
Drier conditions will pair with rising temperatures to make for a warm start to the new work week in an area stretching from the Ohio Valley and into the mid-Atlantic. This warmth will eventually filter up into New England by the middle of the weekend.
