The 8 Worst Blind Spots for Your Home Security Cameras

2 hours agoYou installed the cameras. You checked the app. You feel safer. But if your cameras are pointed in the wrong places, you may have created the illusion of security rather than the reality. Burglars are opportunists and very good at identifying gaps.
Here are the eight locations where homeowners most commonly leave coverage holes, and how to fix them.
1. The Side Yard
Most homeowners cover the front door and back door, but completely miss the side yards, the narrow corridors between homes. These passages connect your front yard to your back yard and are a favorite route for intruders precisely because they are rarely monitored and offer cover from neighbors and street traffic.
A camera mounted at the front corner of the house, angled down the side yard, or one at the back corner covering the approach from the front, closes this gap without requiring additional hardware in most setups.
