Deadly Brazil Flood
Over 100 people have been confirmed dead after massive amounts of moisture unleashed flooding across southern Brazil. The state of Rio Grande do Sul is ground zero for the deluge of precipitation.
In addition to the confirmed fatalities, there are also about 140 people still reported as missing. Officials are warning that the Brazil flood death toll will likely rise considerably.
The onslaught of storms has affected over 2 million Brazilians, including the displacement of thousands of individuals. Brazil's state-run news agency also reported that over 2,000 animals have been rescued in Rio Grande do Sol since the flooding began.
