West Coast About to be Doused with Rain and Snow in Coming Days

A train of storms is setting up to douse the West Coast with multiple rounds of rain beginning the middle of this week and lasting for a few days. Here is what you can expect with this weather maker.

West Coast in the Line of Fire for Handful of Storms

The upcoming series of storms will drench portions of the Pacific Northwest before unleashing snow across the Cascades and into the Rocky Mountains. It will be a significant change from the dry weather that distinguished the holiday weekend and into the beginning of this week.

The dry conditions will hang on through Tuesday for most of Washington, Oregon, Northern California, and Nevada as an area of high pressure remains anchored over the region.

By Tuesday night, a new storm system is predicted to move into the coastal areas of California. This will trigger rain showers for major metropolitan areas such as San Diego, Los Angeles, and San Diego. This same system will push into the Desert Southwest and offer up cooler temperatures and the chance of rain.
