12 hours agoWhat weather fears keep you up at night? Do you worry about the force of a tsunami, the violence of a tornado, or the threat of wildfires? Most likely, your worst fears are dictated by where you live. A new survey is shedding light on America's greatest weather fears. Here is a closer look at what the survey revealed.
Diving Into the Greatest Weather Fears Across America
A nationwide survey demonstrates that while Americans fear the fury of Mother Nature, they do not feel prepared to handle a natural disaster. Not surprisingly, the biggest fears are also tied to geographical location.
The poll conducted by Talker Research asked 2,500 adults what natural disaster worried them most. Leading the pack were tornadoes, followed closely by tsunamis. Rounding out the top five were earthquakes, hurricanes, and wildfires. Other disasters that sparked fear on a smaller scale included flash flooding, heat waves, droughts, blizzards, and mudslides.
