All eyes will be on the Bay Area this weekend as Super Bowl LX takes center stage. Here is a look at what Mother Nature is going to bring to the party both on gameday and in the days surrounding all of the festivities.

Will Weather Play a Role in Super LX?

The Seattle Seahawks will meet the New England Patriots this weekend in the most anticipated sporting event of the year in the U.S. The overall forecast looks favorable for all the events leading up to the big game. This is not surprising as the Super Bowl is typically held in indoor domes or in outdoor stadiums with a history of decent weather at the beginning of February.

This year's game will kick off at 6:30 pm ET in Santa Clara, California, at Levi's Stadium, home to the San Francisco 49ers. This part of Northern California is known for foggy conditions and the chance of atmospheric rivers firing up during the winter season. The good news is that it looks like the weather will cooperate with all of the outdoor activities scheduled for the weekend.

It was a rough start to the winter season in California. A slew of atmospheric rivers roared across the Golden State to start the season, ushering in record-breaking rainfall to the region. However, it has been mostly docile in January with high pressure dominating the weather pattern. Temperatures have also been trending a bit warmer than usual heading into game week.
