A powerful Nor’easter has hammered the New Jersey coastline, bringing flooding, high winds, and an unexpected twist. As the storm churned up the Atlantic, five sharks, including a 1,000-pound great white, were tracked circling just offshore.

The storm began impacting the East Coast on Sunday with strong winds, heavy rain, and widespread coastal flooding. Streets in shore towns were quickly overwhelmed as high tides pushed ocean water over docks and into homes.

The National Weather Service issued warnings for moderate to major coastal flooding, flash flooding inland, and dangerous surf conditions. Power outages affected multiple counties, while downed trees and storm debris caused significant travel disruptions at airports across the region.
