A nor'easter bearing down on the East Coast this weekend is putting many outdoor plans in flux. Here is what you need to know about how some of the weekend's biggest events may be impacted by this powerful storm, set to unleash coastal flooding, disruptive winds, and heavy rain.

Status of Festivals and Concerts

The first weekend of fall is packed full of outdoor festivals, sporting events, and more. The strong likelihood of a potent weather maker is putting a lot of these events in question.

As of now, the annual Feast of San Genarro in New York City's Little Italy is scheduled to happen as planned on Saturday and Sunday. Also in New York City, organizers of the Tunnel to Towers 5K Walk/Run are still planning to go forward with the event on Sunday.

The Yes Chef Food Fest in New York's Citi Field parking lot is set to soldier on as planned. Other food festivals still on the calendar include the Big Apple's Stone Street Oktoberfest and the18th annual South Street Oktoberfest in Philadelphia.

The Global Citizen Festival on the Great Lawn in Central Park is a go for Saturday evening. The much-anticipated Ed Sheeran Loop Tour at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, is also still on the schedule for Friday and Saturday evening.

Conversely, event organizers have decided to pull the plug on the Greenport Maritime Festival in Greenport, New York, on Long Island. This event has been postponed until the weekend of October 16 due to the impending storm.
