The roller coaster of weather will take a new turn this weekend when the unseasonably warm temperatures are replaced by a new Northeast snow storm that is expected to deliver a shot of wintry precipitation for some parts of the region.
Here is what you need to know about what the snow in the Northeast is set to bring.
Springlike Weather About to Come to an End for the Eastern U.S.
The next few days will feel more like spring than the end of January for most residents of the eastern U.S.
However, do not be fooled into thinking that winter is in the rearview mirror. Fresh on the heels of rain and springlike temperatures, some areas will need to brace for Northeast snow and ice by the end of the weekend.
The upcoming snow storm for the Northeast is the same system that is bringing torrential rain to the South to close out the work week. Forecasters predict that the system will push to the north and through the southern Appalachians and Ohio Valley on Saturday before migrating into the Northeast on Sunday.
