Despite the calendar reading May, Denver and the surrounding Rocky Mountains could see the biggest snowstorm of the season in the coming days. The late-season winter storm is forecast to dump several inches of snow across Denver and up to a few feet of fresh accumulation on the Rockies. Read on for all of the details of this impending storm.

What could end up being the most significant snowstorm of the season is bearing down on the Colorado Front Range. While the snow will cause travel disruptions across the Interstate 70 and 25 corridors, the incoming moisture is good news for a part of the country currently dealing with the impacts of a snow drought.

Snow has been hard to come by in recent months for Denver and the central Rockies. However, a major storm forecast to strike on Tuesday and Wednesday is expected to deliver significant accumulation for the storm-starved region.
