Dry Weather and Warming Trend in Store for the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast This Week
Christy Bowen
2 hours agoThe East Coast will see a mixed bag of weather during the first week of June. While dry weather will return to New England and the Northeast, some of the coastal areas of the mid-Atlantic and the Southeast could be dealing with dangerous beach conditions due to a nearby storm. Here is a look at what to expect from Mother Nature in the days ahead for the eastern flank of the country.
Dry Weather to Persist for Much of the East Coast
The soggy weather that distinguished the weekend in New England will start to dissipate as the week progresses. However, the cool temperatures will remain a constant for this corner of the country for a few more days.
Meanwhile, dry conditions will linger across the interior portions of the Northeast and down into the mid-Atlantic. A large zone of high pressure will drive the weather from the Great Lakes and into the mid-Atlantic, resulting in a continuation of the dry pattern. This area of high pressure will push up into New England beginning on Tuesday, providing some relief from the moisture machine for the rain-weary region.
