Flood Advisory: Be Aware

A Flood Advisory is the lowest-urgency flood alert. It's issued when flooding isn't expected to be dangerous, but conditions like road ponding, minor stream overflow, or localized urban flooding could cause a real inconvenience. Think standing water in low spots or a creek running a little high, not a life-threatening event.

The right response is simple: stay alert, avoid driving through any flooded roadway even if it looks shallow, and keep an eye on whether conditions are worsening toward a higher alert level.
