Late-Week Winter Storm Will Bring More Snow to the Northeast and Beyond

A developing snow storm will bring wintry precipitation to over 100 million Americans by the end of the day Friday ahead of another intrusion of Arctic air just in time for the weekend. Read on for what you can expect with this latest winter weather maker.

Storm System Packed With Snow Moving From West to East

The same storm system that unloaded massive amounts of rain for the coastal Northwest before dumping snow on the higher terrains of the West is moving across the Midwest and into the Northeast to bring the work week to a close.

Once this storm exits the U.S., a rush of cold air will follow behind it and deliver some of the most frigid temperatures of the season for some parts of the country.

You can expect this latest storm to generate widespread snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches with some areas picking up amounts totaling a half of a foot through Friday.
