Where Are the Most Recent Shark Attacks?

The short answer to this question is worldwide. And there are a few reasons for that. But, The Sunshine State of Florida is the one that reported more shark bites than any other state. Hilton Head Island shark attacks are also on the rise in South Carolina.

In the west coast, Hawaii tiger shark attacks were reported. Last year, there were tiger shark attacks on a Netflix Crew in Hawaii as they were gathering footage for a series titled “Like Something Out of Jaws.”

A 15-foot tiger shark lunged at one of the inflatable boats the crew was sailing in. The entire watercraft exploded and, in a panic, the crew fled back to the shoreline. Thankfully, they were only 328 feet away and made it to safety before the entire craft fully deflated. California also reported a fatal shark attack.

In 2023, the number of shark attacks increased worldwide. Although it was only a slight increase, scientists are still trying to get to the bottom of these unprovoked attacks.
