Tropical Storm Fernand Forms South of Bermuda
Elena Martinez
6 days agoJust days after Tropical Storm Erin, another system has developed in the Atlantic. Tropical Storm Fernand officially formed late Saturday after a Hurricane Hunter mission confirmed a closed low-pressure circulation with thunderstorms.
Fernand is the sixth named storm of the 2025 Atlantic hurricane season. The system is currently several hundred miles southeast of Bermuda and is moving toward the north-northeast.
Forecast Track
Meteorologists expect Fernand to continue curling northeast in the coming days, keeping the storm well east of Bermuda. By the time it approaches the waters southeast of Newfoundland, Canada, it will likely transition into a non-tropical low-pressure system over the North Atlantic.
