If you’re planning to deep-fry a turkey this Thanksgiving, you’re not alone. Turkey fryers have become the unofficial thrill ride of the holiday season, equal parts delicious and mildly terrifying. And while everyone knows the basics (don’t overfill the pot, keep kids away, maybe don’t do it after your second glass of wine), fewer people think about the weather.
