Nor'easter Pummels Northeast with Heavy Snow, Threatens Power Outages

A powerful nor'easter is unleashing one of the heaviest snowfalls of the season, blanketing areas from Maine to New York with up to 36 inches of wet, heavy snow.

While skiers rejoice, forecasters warn of widespread disruptions and potential power outages.

Snowfall Exceeds Expectations

This storm is exceeding expectations, with snowfall in some areas expecting to reach the 6-24 inches dumped by the previous storm in March.

The potential for a whopping 42 inches of snow looms over the Presidential and Green Mountains, along with the Adirondacks. Lower elevations won't be spared, with significant slush and snow accumulating on roads.
